Lage Weide C

Development UTR06 is a development on the strategically located business park Lage Weide in Utrecht. The site for the development covers an area of more than 10 hectares on which three high-quality distribution centers are placed. The development footprint is approximately 65.000 m2 in total.

Lage Weide was developed in the 1950’s by the city of Utrecht as an alternative location for industrial companies. Such companies had to locate outside the city centre to minimize environmental pollution. The take-up at Lage Weide business park (net 102 hectares) today is almost one hundred percent, with a variety of businesses.

Besides great connectivity, as the site is located in the centre of the Netherlands, the location is very strategic for both inbound and outbound of flows. Goods can easily be transported from the main ports (Rotterdam harbour, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport), while Utrecht benefits from important highways providing connectivity on both the North-South route as well as West-East, to the rest of the Netherlands and Europe. The central location and great connectivity in combination with a populous city furthermore makes that a formidable labour force can easily get to this site.
